The story of UniCredit Foundation tells the importance of being together in pursuing ambitious projects and of caring for the people who contribute daily to their realization. For this reason, in line with UniCredit Group's Values, every year the Foundation promotes the involvement of employees through initiatives with social and charitable purposes and an excellent training offer dedicated to them.
Gift matching program
The Gift Matching Program is a historic initiative born in 2003 which has grown over the years following the developments, changes and evolution of UniCredit and the Foundation. The program consists of doubling the donations made by employees from all countries in which UniCredit operates, to which the proceeds benefit nonprofit organizations chosen by the colleagues themselves. Over the years, the program has made it possible to sustain thousands of projects aimed at supporting the needs of our geographies across Europe and our colleagues' commitment to empowering these communities.

REST-CENT INITIATIVE
Rest-Cent is an initiative currently active only in Italy and Germany, through which employees can donate cents of their net monthly salary. The annual proceeds are then doubled by the Foundation to social projects developed by nonprofit organizations. In line with its new mission, starting in 2023, Rest-Cent will support various initiatives in the area with the aim of providing adequate school guidance and effective accompaniment to young people exposed to a higher risk of dropping out of school. EMERGENcies
UniCredit Foundation is committed to supporting its communities affected by serious humanitarian crises, integrating donations made by colleagues who wish to offer concrete help. Over the last few years, these actions have made possible to support initiatives intended to mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. SUMMER SCHOOL FOR EMPLOYEES
The Summer School initiative, which provides scholarships to attend Summer Schools in three prestigious European universities (University College London, London School of Economics, Barcelona School of Economics), represents an important moment of training and professional growth that UniCredit Foundation has decided to offer to the Group's employees, at every age, and from any country or professional level. Each scholarship provides full payment by the Foundation of tuition fees for the chosen summer course, while UniCredit contributes to reimbursement of travel and living expenses for fellow program winners.
