Giorgio Barba Navaretti has a strong career in education. He is a professor of Economics at the University of Milan, a Distinguished Visiting Faculty at Sciences Po in Paris, a Research Fellow of CEPR and a Scientific Director of the Centro Studi Luca d'Agliano. He serves as President of the Collegio Carlo Alberto Foundation and of the National Institute of Molecular Genetics (INGM) "Romeo and Enrica Invernizzi," and sits in the Board of Fondazione Pesenti and Fondazione Agnelli.
He works as a consultant for many international organisations, including the European Central Bank, the European Investment Bank, the World Bank, the OECD and the European Commission, and for several Italian public institutions like the Bank of Italy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He is also a non-executive director of Aon Italia, CheckMab and Fideuram-Intesa San Paolo Private Banking, a columnist for Repubblica and La Stampa, and a speaker at Rai and Radio24 national radio economic news programs.
