Our ESG strategy is built on strong fundamentals and interconnected elements to deliver value:

We have defined a new set of targets focusing on a more meaningful ESG penetration. This allows a more transparent view on UniCredit ESG performance over total business, netting out overall market effects not related to ESG.

To strengthen and manifest our ESG commitments, bearing sustainability at the heart of everything we do, we have decided over the years to adhere to key international and institutional sustainability initiatives such as the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, the UNEP FI Principles for Responsible Banking, the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, Finance for Biodiversity Pledge, Ellen McArthur Foundation and many others.
