UNICREDIT SUPPORTS WORLD PANCREATIC CANCER DAY
Thursday 19 November 2020
We light up the spire of the bank's Milan headquarters in purple to raise awareness on pancreatic cancer
The UniCredit Tower spire in Milan will light up in purple, in support of the 7th World Pancreatic Cancer Day.
Pancreatic cancer is the 12th most common cancer in men and the 11th in women, affecting more than 14,000 people per year in Italy. After diagnosis, 90 per cent of sufferers expect to live for only five more years.
In Italy, this year’s campaign is promoted by Associazione Nastro Viola Onlus in cooperation with Associazioni Oltre La Ricerca ODV, Fondazione Nadia Valsecchi, Associazione My Everest ONLUS and Associazione Massimo Borrelli ONLUS.
By lighting up the UniCredit Tower spire, the Group aims to raise awareness of this serious disease, supporting initiatives that can have a positive social impact.
This is in line with the Group’s commitment to always Do the right thing!
