La Filarmonica della Scala incontra la città is back
UniCredit and Filarmonica della Scala, in partnership with the UniCredit Foundation, our Group's non-profit organization, present La Filarmonica della Scala incontra la città for the fourth straight year.
This popular initiative allows audiences, who might otherwise be unable to attend Teatro alla Scala performances, to experience listening to the Filarmonica della Scala rehearse for its scheduled concerts.
The initiative consists of five open rehearsals directed by legendary conductors. Admission to the first rehearsal is open to the public and will be free of charge. Ticket proceeds from the remaining four performances will be donated to four non-profit organizations in the region, which provide services to the poor: Opera Cardinal Ferrari, Centro Francescano Beata Maria della Passione, Cena dell'Amicizia and Pane Quotidiano.
The first open rehearsal will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 7:30 pm and will be dedicated to the city. Maestro Daniel Harding will introduce the musical program with Maestro Ernesto Schiavi, Artistic Director of the Filarmonica della Scala, before conducting the orchestra.
The first open rehearsal musical program:
Daniel Harding, Conductor
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Maurerische Trauermusik
Richard Wagner, Tristan und Isolde, Vorspiel und Liebestod
Richard Strauss, Ein Heldenleben, Poema Sinfonico
These open rehearsals provide a unique opportunity to be a part of an emotional musical performance.
