UniCredit Bank Austria has been awarded with the government quality seal "audit workandfamily" as a family-friendly employer for the fourth time in a row. The Bank first received the certification in 2009 and the seal of quality is awarded for a period of three years.

In addition to a number of family-friendly measures, UniCredit Bank Austria sets a high standard for modern working with its new headquarters on the Austria Campus that serves to strengthen both, employee satisfaction and the Bank's customer focus. Doris Tomanek, Member of the Management Board for Human Capital at UniCredit Bank Austria, commented: "The talent and motivation of our employees are key for the success of our company. In the age of digitalisation, we are setting new standards with state-of-the-art technology and our model of flexible working hours as well as the possibility to work remotely from home. The working hours and way of working are based on trust and flexibility and show a new perspective on work-life balance. Our SmartWorking concept significantly improves the possibilities for combining work and family life, particularly for employees with children."

SmartWorking focuses on an innovative office space targeted towards new working methods. In addition to the open office structure, the concept enables mobile working anywhere on the campus, as well as remote working from home and on the road. The new corporate headquarters is thus the basis for the further development of a corporate culture that is increasingly focused on personal responsibility, flexibility and trust in daily work.

The certificate was awarded by the Federal Minister for Women, Families and Youth, Juliane Bogner-Strauß and accepted by Jenny Jane Seitner, Head of Human Capital; Adolf Lehner, Chairman of the Works Council and Andrea Strohmayer, Corporate Sustainability Manager at UniCredit Bank Austria.

State quality mark

The "audit workandfamily" is a tailor-made instrument for companies of all sectors, company sizes (from 5 employees) and legal and business forms. The audit process is supervised by qualified consultants who support companies in defining, evaluating and planning family-friendly measures. After a positive assessment of the process by an external certification body, the company is awarded a state quality mark by the responsible Federal Ministry.
