The bank is extending a package of extraordinary support measures to seven regions affected so far, including Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino and Lazio
In addition to the initiatives already communicated on 24 February, UniCredit's Extended Emergency Package includes:
- no ATM withdrawal fees for non-UniCredit ATMs within the impacted municipalities, effective for all holders of debit cards issued by the bank;
- a 12-month suspension on leasing repayments for the companies residing in the eleven affected municipalities and a six month suspension on monthly leasing payments in the seven regions affected to date;
- reinforcement of remote advisory services, which enable clients to access advisory services without going to a physical branch, doubling the number of remote consultants from two hundred to four hundred.

The measures outlined above are in addition to the initiatives already communicated on 24 February, covering the eleven affected municipalities (Vo' Euganeo, Codogno, Castiglione d'Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo and San Fiorano), including a 12-month suspension on mortgage repayments for retail customers residing in the affected areas, as well as for companies with their legal and / or operational headquarters in the listed municipalities.

The bank amplifies the package of extraordinary actions to support the 7 regions affected so far (Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino, Lazio) by the COVID virus -19.
UniCredit decided to amplify measures to support customers, territories and communities in emergency situations identified by the authorities for areas affected by the COVID - 19 virus.
In these territories UniCredit has decided to apply the Extended Emergency Package which provides:
- the elimination of withdrawal fees in circulation in favour of holders of debit cards issued by the bank, reporting to the municipalities concerned
- the elimination of ATM withdrawal commissions at non-Unicredit ATMs in the municipalities in the "red zones", for the holders of debit cards issued by the bank
- a 12 months suspension on leasing installments
- Remote advisory: thanks to the digital signature, our clients can access advisory services without going to a branch office.

These measures are in addition to the initiatives prepared and communicated last 24 February for the eleven affected municipalities (Vo' Euganeo, Codogno, Castiglione d'Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo and San Fiorano) as a 12-month moratorium on mortgage repayment for retail customers residing in and for companies with their legal and / or operational headquarters in the eleven affected municipalities (Vo' Euganeo, Codogno, Castiglione d'Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo and San Fiorano), all in the north of Italy.
