UniCredit S.p.A ("UniCredit", the "Company") will commence the execution of the second tranche of the 2022 share buy-back programme, in the amount of circa Euro 1 billion, as soon as the first tranche of circa Euro 2.34 billion is completed.
As part of the first tranche, as of 16 June 2023 UniCredit purchased 111.9 million shares, equal to 5.77% of the share capital, for a total consideration of Euro 2.07 billion.
The commencement of the second tranche reflects the Company's leading organic capital generation and CET1 ratio together with a robust liquidity position. It also confirms that the business can weather possible stress scenarios from a position of resilience and strength.
Together with the dividend this leads to a total 2022 distribution of Euro 5.25 billion, or a total yield of 15%, underlining
UniCredit's commitment to attractive and sustainable shareholder returns while maintaining strong capital.
