The UniCredit Longevity Conference 2025 presents positive angles on longevity, leveraging proprietary data, renowned speakers (including Nobel laureates) and client testimonials. We are eager to bring together international, primarily European, thought leaders, business owners, executives, as well as institutional representatives and policymakers, to share their insights and experiences. During the event, UniCredit will also present strategic insights based on proprietary data gathered from extensive fieldwork across its European domestic markets.

"Longer lives are one of humanity's greatest achievements. However, we don't just want to add years to our lives. We also want to enjoy good health and well-being in later life. This is healthy ageing." (WHO 2024)

Our first Longevity Conference is dedicated to exploring the multifaceted aspects of longevity and their implications for the financial and corporate sectors, is scheduled for 28 May 2025, in the historical building of the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana - "Palazzo Mezzanotte"), the very heart of Milan, Italy. This one-day event will be hosted by invitation only and not open to the public. It is dedicated to aspects of longevity, discussing all aspects of living longer and living better, the related business implications and how banks and businesses can support this. The event offers an opportunity to gain trends and insights on asset management, pension funds, and advisory services to facilitate generational successions. It is a unique opportunity to network with high-profile senior professionals, renowned professors, and senior institutional representatives and global business leaders.

"A longer life brings with it opportunities, not only for older people and their families, but also for societies as a whole. Additional years provide the chance to pursue new activities such as further education, a new career or a long-neglected passion. Older people also contribute in many ways to their families and communities. Yet the extent of these opportunities and contributions depends heavily on one factor: health." (WHO 2024)

The central theme of the event, "Get set for the long run," establishes the focus of our discussions. It emphasizes the importance of preparing for longevity early in life, not only financially but also in terms of lifestyle. This approach aligns with the evolution of our corporate offerings, which cater not only to the elderly but to all clients. The concept of the "longevity economy" extends far beyond the "silver economy," encompassing a broader and more inclusive perspective. Our goal is to support a lifestyle where living longer also means living better.

"Evidence suggests that the proportion of life in good health has remained broadly constant, implying that the additional years are in poor health. If people can experience these extra years of life in good health and if they live in a supportive environment, their ability to do the things they value will be little different from that of a younger person. If these added years are dominated by declines in physical and mental capacity, the implications for older people and for society are more negative." (WHO 2024)

We are looking forward to an exciting day full of lively and fruitful discussions, which will only be the beginning of further events on this important topic in the future.
