Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner. Nowadays we all have dozens of online accounts and profiles but not many of us know how to protect them with robust passwords. November has been known as the month of two big shopping events for many years: Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Black Friday was launched in 2000 and marks the unofficial beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Virtually many retailers across the world, big and small, have since been offering various sales and real bargains on very diverse products.
The term Cyber Monday, a neologism invented in 2005 by the National Retail Federation's division Shop.org, refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday based on a trend that retailers began to recognize in 2003 and 2004. Retailers noticed that many consumers, who were too busy to shop over the Thanksgiving weekend or did not find what they were looking for, shopped for bargains online that Monday from home or work.
