Bahrain Grand Prix: Sunset Race
Thursday 10 April 2025
As the sun sets and the floodlights illuminate the desert, Formula 1 returns to Bahrain for the much-anticipated first night race of the season.
The Bahrain International Circuit promises another chapter of high-speed drama, milestone moments, and thrilling battles, and our partner Scuderia Ferrari HP is ready to take on the challenge.
The Bahrain Grand Prix made history on April 4, 2004, by becoming the first Formula 1 race ever held in the Middle East. Since then, the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has evolved into a modern classic, known for its striking desert backdrop, technical layout, and capacity to produce action-packed racing.

A Stage for Memorable Moments
Over the years, Bahrain has played host to numerous unforgettable moments in Formula 1 history:
• Leclerc’s Breakthrough – In 2019, Charles Leclerc secured his first pole position in just his second race with Scuderia Ferrari, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey with the team.
• In 2020, The Sakhir Grand Prix was a one-off Formula 1 motor race contested over 87 laps of the 'Outer Circuit' configuration of the Bahrain International Circuit. It was the second of two back-to-back races in Bahrain, with the Bahrain Grand Prix having taken place on the 'Grand Prix' configuration of the circuit one week beforehand
A Weekend of Firsts
This year, Bahrain will witness another special milestone as Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy talent Dino Beganovic makes his official Formula 1 debut. The young Swede will step into Charles Leclerc’s seat for Practice Session 1, showcasing the next generation of talent. Dino will also compete in the Formula 2 round over the same weekend, demonstrating Scuderia Ferrari’s commitment to nurturing future stars.
