UniCredit's new advertising campaign, currently on air across Italy, takes you to a world filled with dreams, emotions, reality and positivity
UniCredit’s new tv commercial, shot by award-winning film director Ferzan Özpetek, was launched on 6 December, sending a message of hope and positivity to the nation.
With this new advertising campaign, the bank highlights the journey over the past year, staring from the first lockdown in March 2020 and shows examples of the initiatives, projects and products that have been done in Italy, highlighting that “Those that stand by you in difficult times, will make the easy days even more beautiful.”
Andrea Casini and Remo Taricani, Co-CEOs Commercial Banking Italy, commenting on the role of UniCredit in supporting Italian clients in 2020, said: “This past year has been challenging for the Italian economy. Right from the start of the pandemic, UniCredit has been cooperating with institutions and the Italian Banking Association, bringing its experience and support to government initiatives. Through “UniCredit per l’Italia” (UniCredit for Italy) we have facilitated credit and granted bridge loans to individuals and businesses to help them get through these times and to restart.”
According to the latest data available, there has been a significant amount of moratorium’s requests: more than 77,000 moratoria for households (for a total of €5.7 billion) and more than 138,000 moratoria for businesses (for a total of €18.2 billion). On top of this the measures envisaged by the Liquidity Decree for businesses have also played a key role. UniCredit has disbursed more than €13 billion to over 142 thousand Italian companies that applied for a loan with a state guarantee.
“Together with our customers and employees, we have faced a difficult and unexpected scenario, from which we have learned a lot. Today we are ready to manage this new economic environment and work together towards a new start. As a bank we are part of the solution,” they added.
