Three new exhibitions at Fondazione Fotografia Modena
UniCredit is co-sponsoring three new exhibitions that opened at Fondazione Fotografia Modena on Sunday, March 6.
The first two exhibitions display photos by the 2016 winner of the International Prize for Photography, South African Santu Mofokeng, and the winner of the 2016 Under 40 Italian Photography Award, Alessio Zemoz.
Mr. Mofokeng's exhibition, a silent solitude. Photographs 1982 - 2011, is curated by Simon Njami while Mr. Zemoz exhibition, Lo vàco - il vuoto, was curated by Christine Frisinghelli. Both exhibitions are sponsored by the gallery and Sky Arts HD, in partnership with UniCredit.
The third exhibition features the work of noted street photographer, Daido Moriyama. The show, named Daido Moriyama in Color, features a selection of 130 color photographs by the Japanese artist from the late 1960s to the early 1980s.
Daido Moriyama in Color is sponsored by the Fondazione Fotografia Modena and the Fondazione Cassa di risparmio di Modena, in collaboration with the Carla Sozzani Gallery in Milan and UniCredit.
All three exhibitions will remain open at the gallery until May 8.
All phases that led to the awarding of the International Prize for Photography 2016 and the Under 40 Italian Photography Award -- from the presentation of the jurors to the announcement of the winners -- were filmed by Sky Arte HD. It will broadcast the process in three special episodes aired at 8:40 p.m. on March 7, 14 and 21 2016.
