The 2017-2018 Season of the Filarmonica della Scala
The 2017-2018 Season schedule of the Filarmonica della Scala was presented at Teatro alla Scala on June 12, 2017. Jean Pierre Mustier, CEO of UniCredit and Chairman of the Filarmonica della Scala, Filippo Del Corno, Councilor of Culture of the City of Milan and Ernesto Schiavi, Artistic Director of Filarmonica della Scala, were all on hand for the presentation.
Riccardo Chailly will open the 2017-2018 Season on Monday, November 6, 2017.
The Season will showcase performances of the highest quality, featuring both established and emerging conductors and soloists.
The program for the new season represents a new chapter in Maestro Chailly's exploration of the symphonic repertoire of the great Russian composers, in addition to the traditional symphonic repertoire and music of the twentieth century.
The partnership between the Orchestra and UniCredit remains strong. Their joint "Open Filarmonica" initiatives continue to demonstrate the shared goals and values of both institutions, such as their commitment to making musical culture available to an increasingly broad and diverse audience, educating the next generation of concert goers and supporting projects that promote social cohesiveness and well-being.
