Thursday, January 26 at 7:45 pm will be the first performance of La Filarmonica della Scala al cinema (The Filarmonica della Scala in Movie Theaters), a concert series presented by the Filarmonica della Scala together with UniCredit, its main partner, produced by Musicom.it and distribute by Nexo Digital.
Conductor and pianist Daniel Barenboim will open the five-concert series with a performance that will be filmed, with Pietro Tagliaferri direction, in high-definition and broadcast live in Italian movie theaters. The evening's musical program will be dedicated to the Spanish works of Manuel de Falla (Noches en los jardines de España) and Maurice Ravel (Rapsodie espagnole, Alborada del gracioso, Pavane pour une infante défunte and Boléro).
Director Francesco Micheli will greet moviegoers live from the theater's entrance before leading them to the conductor's dressing room and then on to where the concert is set to begin. Audiences will be taken behind the scenes of the legendary theater, where they will watch never before seen interviews with the performing musicians and conductors.
La Filarmonica della Scala al cinema is a unique opportunity to experience a Filarmonica performance - live from Milan - in a movie theater near you.
UniCredit colleagues and customers are eligible to receive discounted tickets (€10 rather than €15), for them and their companions (max. 3), and will be required to present their UniCredit badge or debit card at the movie theater ticket office.
