Filarmonica della Scala, together with its Main Partner UniCredit, presents the new project DISCOVERY. Five concert at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi, Milano Bicocca's great concert hall, with a number of well-known conductors.
It is a new project proposing a journey of discovery form Asia to Europe and from Russia to America with special concert programs conducted by Myung Whun Chung, Riccardo Chailly, Daniele Gatti, Frnak Strobel and Tan Dan, crowned by a showing of Metropolis, the masterpiece of silence film directed by Fritz Lang with the original accompanying music played by Filarmonica della Scala.
It represents a unique series of con concerts designed for both an enthusiastic concert-going public and uninitiated youngsters infused with the spirit of discovery. They will be given the opportunity of getting to know the great classical music repertoire thanks to reduced process and a new concert format including an introduction and guidance as to what to listen for.
It is a new place in which to listen to Filarmonica, in a more modern and capacious setting, an extraordinary opportunity to discover the Italian excellence embodied in the Orchestra's wonderful musicians in a fascinating and accessible project.
