The seventh edition of the Filarmonica della Scala's Open Rehearsal program was recently announced at the Palazzo Marino in the presence of Milan's Major Pisapia, the Councillors Majorino and Del Corno and Federico Ghizzoni.
The season tickets are on sale from September 28 while the single tickets will be for sale from December 2. Also, 100 free tickets for the first Open Rehearsal of November 8 will be reserved for "Under 25" (tickets available on November 5 and 6, from 10 am to 5 pm at the Filarmonica office in Piazza Diaz 6).
The program includes five open rehearsals directed by legendary conductors. Admission to the first rehearsal will be free of charge and open to the public. Ticket proceeds from the remaining four performances will be donated to four non-profit organizations that work in the scientific researches field in the Milan region: Fondazione IEO - CCM, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta, Fondazione Centro San Raffaele, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori.
This popular initiative, realized thanks to the orchestra Main Partner UniCredit in cooperation with UniCredit Foundation, makes it possible for audiences who might not otherwise be able to attend performances at La Scala to experience rehearsals held by the orchestra prior to several of its regular concerts.
