Innovative projects can apply for nearly HRK 1m worth of grants
Zagrebacka banka has launched the 5th edition of the Moj Zaba Start project aimed at supporting innovative ideas and projects in three areas - entrepreneurship, culture and science, and society. Through three competitions, Zaba will once again award grants of the total value of nearly HRK 1m, as well as ensure training and promotion for those chosen as the best.
"Aside from our fundamental role as a financial institution, we are continuously focused on creating new ideas through which to support excellence, prosperity and transformation of the society we operate in. Through the Moj Zaba Start programme, we support the realization of innovative entrepreneurial ideas and the pursuit of achievements in science, culture and social responsibility. Previous editions of the programme achieved exceptional results; therefore, on behalf of Zagrebacka banka's Management Board, I would like to invite you to actively participate in the programme and I look forward to every step we will take together," said Miljenko Zivaljic, Chairman of Zagrebacka Banka while presenting the project on Tuesday at the Zagreb City Savings Bank branch office.
The Entrepreneurship competition is open to projects that focus on the application of new technologies, the development of new products and services, and innovation.
The Culture and Science competition is open to projects that involve the independent culture scene, science and research projects or the application of new media and technologies in science, culture and arts.
The Society competition is open to projects that focus on improving the everyday life in the community, supporting people with disabilities and special needs, and supporting youth development and the quality of life of seniors.
All those working on innovative projects that could have potential market value can apply to the competition by 12 June 2018 at noon.
The terms and conditions of the competition and the application form are available at www.mojzabastart.hr.
After the applications close, an expert committee will evaluate the submissions and competition finalists will be announced by 20 September. The committee will choose three best submissions for each category and they will be awarded prizes amounting to HRK 120,000, 100,000 and 80,000. A special prize of the audience, amounting to HRK 30,000, will also be awarded in each category.
As part of the Moj Zaba Start project, thematic workshops will also be organized across Croatia in order to allow all potential applicants across the country to present themselves and prepare for this project as best as possible.
