UniCredit, Italy Tech Day gets underway: the best Impact Innovation scale-ups for investors from the international tech scene

On 14 December, UniCredit, in collaboration with the law firm Orrick, is organising 'Italy Tech Day - Innovation for Good', an initiative that will turn the spotlight on the world of Italian innovation focusing on developing sustainable solutions.

On a global scale, more and more players are allocating their resources to business ideas with a focus on impact. In 2020, impact investing reached a record figure of $715 billion*, and a growing number of companies are linking their strategic objectives to ESG issues.

Italy has all the potential to play a leading role in the European tech scene during this transition: 16,000 Italian start-ups and innovative SMEs have grown, despite the pandemic, by over 14%** in the past year. According to a study by Infocamere, more than 8% of these are start-ups operating in the "green" sector".

These aspects will be discussed by: Nicolò Ubertalli (Head of UniCredit Italy), Ernesto Ciorra (Chief Innovability® Officer ENEL), Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni (Vegan Investor & Activist), Elisabeth Rizzotti (Co-Founder, COO, MD Italy newcleo), Alfredo Maria De Falco (Head of CIB Italy UniCredit) and Ash Puri (Investor Lightrock), protagonists of the "Innovation Talks - Time to transition" panel, moderated by Massimiliano Magrini (Co-Founder & Managing Partner United Ventures).

Then it will be the turn of five Italian scale-ups - 3BEE, Anemotech, Next, Treedom, U-Earth - whose activities focus on respect for the environment and the well-being of people. Their founders will be interviewed by international investors and experts: Virginia Bassano of Eight Roads, Daniel Keiper-Knorr of Speed Invest, Fabio Lancellotti of Aster Capital, Niclas Holmberg of NASDAQ and Raffaele Fedele of Oltre Impact.
