Ad-hoc-Meldung/Ad hoc Release nach § 15 WpHG/pursuant to § 15 of the German Securities Trading Act - UniCredit Board of Directors acknowledges Mr Salvatori resignation

The Board of Directors of UniCredit, in today's session, acknowledged the resignation of Mr. Carlo Salvatori as deputy Chairman of the Company due to his new responsibilities recently taken over within another company not belonging to the Group. The Board has expressed to Mr. Salvatori its appreciation and esteem for the high degree of professionalism and commitment shown in the accomplishment of his mandates in various top functions of the Group.


The Board has consequently proceeded with the designation of Mr. Anthony Wyand, as Deputy Chairman of UniCredit, in replacement of Mr. Salvatori. Mr. Anthony Blake Wyand is member of the Board of Directors of UniCredit, member of the Boards of Société Générale, Société Foncière Lyonnaise, Aviva France, Director of Grosvenor Ltd and Chairman of Grosvenor Europe.


Also in its session today, and subsequently to the resignation of Mr. Salvatori as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bank Austria and member of the Supervisory Board of HypoVereinsbank, the Board has also indicated one of its Directors, Mr. Vincenzo Calandra Buonaura, as candidate member to the Supervisory Board of BA-CA to be proposed to the General Sharholders Meeting, and Mr. Sergio Ermotti - Head of Markets & Investment Banking Division - as member of the Supervisory Board of HVB to be appointed by the relevant Court.


Finally, and consequently to the resignation of Mr. Salvatori as member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Mediobanca, UniCredit Board of Directors has formally designated the Chairman of UniCredit, Mr. Dieter Rampl, as his substitute there.
