The Board of Directors of UniCredit has appointed on 18th December 2008 Mr Karl Guha as the new Chief Risk Officer of the Group, directly reporting to the CEO, starting from 1st January 2009.
In view of the position and starting from the same date, Karl Guha will become a member of UniCredit's Group Management Committee.
Karl Guha, 44, a Dutch and American citizen, holds a degree in Economics and Management Science from Boston University. He has worked for almost twenty years at ABN AMRO in various capacities in Structured Finance, Treasury, Finance and Risk Management in North America, Europe and Australia.
As already announced last June, Henning Giesecke left his current position on 31 December 2008, but will continue to operate within the Group as Chief Risk Officer of the German based HVB.
