UniCredit launches “We Will Fix It”, the new online campaign and the “S.Valentine’s Fix”

UniCredit, as one of the official Sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, launches "We Will Fix It", the new online communication campaign conceived to help football fans and those who are not into it to manage situations in which life and football get in the way of each other.
What if an important UEFA Champions League match takes place right when there's a party for a relative's birthday or when there's a business dinner planned? Luís Figo, Official UniCredit Ambassador for the UEFA Champions League and the Unicredit Fix It Squad (composed by the bank's employees) will fix the problem.

UniCredit has already fixed the dilemma of a football fan on Valentine's Day: he was dying to see his favorite team playing at Leverkusen whilst his girlfriend was expecting a romantic night out to celebrate their love.  The UniCredit Fix it Squad and Luís Figo solved such a seemingly unsolvable problem and organized an unforgettable evening to the couple: he didn't have to give up the UEFA Champions League match and she had an amazing surprise. The fix has been filmed and the video is out now on the web.

Everybody from the countries where UniCredit operates (among which Italy, Germany and Romania) can participate in the online campaign and tell their story on what prevent them from watching a UEFA Champions League match. In Italy UniCredit screens all "dilemmas" arrived to the contest on the campaign website www.wewillfixit.it and on the UniCredit Champions Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/unicreditchampions).  The "We Will Fix It" campaign and the "Fixes" can be followed on the web as mentioned and also on the Youtube UniCredit Champions Channel (www.youtube.com/unicreditchampions) and on the YouTube UniCredit Channel (www.youtube.com/unicreditchannel).

In Italy dilemmas between football vs daily life can be submitted by 18th April 2012. Then there will be a "Big Fix" to the problem of luckiest winner of the contest who will live the magic of the UEFA Champions League Final in Munich on 19th May 2012.

The "We Will Fix It" campaign aims to help both fans and non-fans of football to manage life and the UEFA Champions League turning downs into ups.  Luís Figo, Official UniCredit Ambassador for the UEFA Champions League, is a big supporter of this campaign also emphasizing the UniCredit's emotional engagement towards the football audience.

"This campaign is an excellent idea as it involves football fans and also those who are not really into it" says Luís Figo, who enthusiastically promotes the campaign and encourages people to participate for a chance to get their problems arisen when football and life collide fixed.

"As a leading European bank, we want to be close to people and their daily life by always trying to offer them concrete answers and benefits to the real life's challenges and opportunities. The new online campaign "We Will Fix It"  is another way to demonstrate it also through our sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League and the social media, involving everybody in an entertaining and innovative way" says Maurizio Beretta, Head of Group Identity & Communications at UniCredit.
