UniCredit: Joint declaration on responsible sales

UniCredit and the European Works Council (EWC) announce, today, the signing of a joint declaration on responsible sales, the first joint declaration at transnational level (company/European employees' representatives) to be signed in Italy on this subject. The declaration defines the fundamental shared principles on which the conduct at the root of the Group's commercial approach must be based. These are oriented towards achieving sustainable strategic targets and, at the same time, maintaining high labour  environmental standards.

These are the fundamental principles enunciated in the declaration:

Customer Centricity, the needs of the customers are one of the pillar of our investments

Employees' Professional Development, the most important resource for making our business increasingly sustainable

Sustainable Products strengthening the relationship with customers and guaranteeing value creation over time

Organisational governance based on the principles of integrity and responsibility

Fair and transparent business culture which makes our commercial approach increasingly responsible and customer-oriented

The aim of the Joint Declaration on responsible sales, in keeping with the approach used in the previous ones (on 'Training, Learning and Professional Development' and on 'Equal Opportunities and Non-Discrimination'), is to

identify common guidelines

and this assumes much greater value in a diversified organisation such as UniCredit: the declared principles, in fact, represent a common base on which all UniCredit countries can build, in full accordance with each geographical area peculiarities.
