A simpler, faster and scalable interface
UniCredit is pleased to announce that the new design of its corporate website, www.unicreditgroup.eu, is now live online.
The revamped site uses an interface conceived by Fjord and finally declined by Kettydo+, in collaboration with UniCredit's Digital Design Unit, to complement the European banking group's greater use of new technologies.
Research, analytics and user testing provided key insights that were used to redesign the site. Based on the new flat design concept: simpler graphic, scalability and speed.
The new design places greater emphasis on the website's content by eliminating borders, frames, gradients and shadows while using vivid colors. It makes fuller use of space and is easier to navigate, with recognizable and distinctive icons that will be adopted Groupwide.
Additionally, the website now features: greater use of infographics, especially for financial data and numbers; wider communication of branding messages through video and memorable images; and simplified text that provides greater clarity and transparency.
Among the website's many improvements, the "Worldwide" section, which allows customers to more readily leverage UniCredit's global presence, and the links to the Internet services of the banks across the Group. It will be easier to communicate with individual customers also via social networks thanks to live updates from the Group's official channels.
Furthermore, the site features a new section dedicated to UniCredit's sponsorship of the UEFA Club Competitions, focusing on its initiatives surrounding the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
The website's unique and minimalistic interface features simpler graphics, faster loading times and fully responsive processing that allows people to more easily access the site from their mobile devices.
Key technologies deployed by the website were completely developed by Unicredit Services, the Group's global services department.
"The relaunch of unicreditgroup.eu is the next step in the global digitization of UniCredit. We are doing this to better serve all of our stakeholders, particularly our customers," said Silvio Santini, Head of UniCredit Brand Management. "We know that they are avid users of new technologies, which help them save time and make their lives easier. This redesign, which was extensively tested by user groups during its development, demonstrates the high degree to which we value the views and needs of the people who use and interact with our bank every day."
