UniCredit today announced that the Board of Directors - on the recommendation of the Corporate Governance, Nomination and Sustainability Committee - appointed (i) Director Lamberto Andreotti as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, (ii) Director Maria Pierdicchi as Chairwoman of the Related-Parties Committee and (iii) Director Francesca Tondi as member of the Internal Controls & Risks Committee.
The decision mentioned above follows the appointment of Mr. Cesare Bisoni as Chairman of the Board of Directors (September 20, 2019) in place of Mr. Fabrizio Saccomanni and the resignation of Ms. Martha Böckenfeld (September 18, 2019).
Chairman Bisoni remains member pro tempore of the Corporate Governance, Nomination and Sustainability Committee, so that he can play an active role in the process for selecting two Non-Executive Directors in place of Mr. Saccomanni and Ms. Böckenfeld. Once the process is completed, Mr. Bisoni will step down from the Committee and a new member will be selected.
