UniCredit S.p.A today appointed Aurelio Maccario as its new Chief Lending Officer (CLO). As CLO, he will succeed Andrea Varese who will take on a new challenge within the Group and will stay in the EMC (Executive Management Committee) until the completion of the transition (February 1, 2020).
Guglielmo Zadra, currently on the management board of HypoVereinsbank - UniCredit Bank AG will succeed Mr. Maccario as Head of Group Regulatory Affairs and member of the Group's Executive Management Committee by 1H 2020.

In his new position, Aurelio Maccario will lead the Group Lending Office. Mr Maccario joined UniCredit in 2002 covering different roles until his appointment as Head of Group Strategic Planning in 2010. In 2013, he moved to Group Risk Management with responsibility for Pillar 2 related activities and the monitoring of the consolidated credit risk profile of the Group. In 2015 he was appointed Head of Group Regulatory Affairs. Mr Maccario is member of the Supervisory Board of Zagrebačka Banka, Croatia, and of the Supervisory Board of Bank Austria.
In his new position Guglielmo Zadra will lead Group Regulatory Affairs defining the Group regulatory strategy and managing relations with the European Central Bank, the Single Resolution Board, the Bank of Italy and other competent authorities. Mr Zadra has joined UniCredit in 2008 as Head of Group Planning, Strategy and Capital Management, acting later as Head of Group Credit and Integrated Risks before joining the Board of HypoVereinsbank - UniCredit Bank AG as CFO (Chief Financial Officer) in 2016.
