UniCredit will provide full support to the areas officially identified by the italian authorities as being affected by the COVID - 19 virus, and will provide a specially tailored "emergency package" in these territories.

UniCredit plans to provide a 12-month moratorium on mortgage repayment for retail customers residing in and for companies with their legal and / or operational headquarters in the eleven affected municipalities (Vo' Euganeo, Codogno, Castiglione d'Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo and San Fiorano), all in the north of Italy.
The bank will also offer subsidised emergency loans to retail customers residing in the municipalities affected by the virus and to business customers having their legal and / or operational headquarters in the above mentioned areas.
The bank will also consider applying the following measures in the seven regions affected to date (Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino, Lazio):
- a six month suspension of monthly mortgage payments (mortgages and/or unsecured loans) for companies with their legal and/or operational headquarters in these areas;
- the extension of credit for imported goods up to 120 days in case of non-receipt for reasons related to the situation;
- the granting of liquidity credit lines with a duration of up to six months.
UniCredit and UniCredit Foundation decided to donate 500 thousand euro to Protezione Civile, for the purchasing of sanitary materials and medical devices for those in need.
