UniCredit reopens as of today the market for the assignment of credits linked to the "Superbonus" and other building bonuses in Italy, to support operators who have completed work and need to assign the credits having reached tax capacity.
In fact, the bank has developed a solution that allows businesses, artisans and professionals who have accrued tax credits against invoice discounting for expenses incurred in 2022 to demobilize these credits, obtaining the liquidity they need to profitably continue their activities
The total amount of credit per file must be more than 10 thousand euros and less than 600 thousand euros, and the file must be in possession of all the documentation required during the investigation, with asseverations, attestations and compliance visa for all types of intervention, as well as the "codice univoco". The bank provides new purchase prices in line with the market.
The loans are being purchased by EBS Finance, a special purpose vehicle belonging to the UniCredit Group, which will subsequently sell them to third-party customers.
To this purpose, UniCredit has already finalized agreements with 6 major market players operating in different economic sectors (large-scale retail, fashion, healthcare, temporary labor agency business, and energy production/distribution) and is in the process of entering into 11 more agreements, for a countervalue that will allow the absorption of the tax credits that the bank will purchase from its customers, effectively realizing a business-bank-business system solution.
UniCredit's CEO and Head of Italy Andrea Orcel said, "This initiative is the latest in UniCredit's consistent and determined support of the individuals and businesses whose hard work makes our economy thrive. These people and businesses are the heart of the communities that we exist to empower, and it is only right that we support them in any way possible. We believe in doing so both via our traditional function as a bank and - when times are difficult - by going above and beyond to help them succeed. In this case, the initiative will help recover tax capacity, which is an important piece of helping our overall economy get back to its best operational and commercial power. Small businesses are a critical part of our economy: when they thrive, we will all thrive, and I am pleased that we are able to add another initiative to our wider program of support for them".
The initiative is in addition to the many already deployed by UniCredit for businesses and professionals engaged in the structural efficiency upgrading of Italy's building stock, fully consistent with the Group's commitment to the transition to a sustainable economy.
