UniCredit has reached an agreement with the trade unions FABI, FIRST, FISAC, UILCA and UNISIN that leads the way in the credit sector in Italy, innovating the paradigm of investment, no longer only dedicated to the sector's Solidarity Fund, but also to employment through a structured retraining programme at UniCredit University that ensures that its resources have skills suited to the challenges of the future.
Italy acts as a pilot by making a significant investment in training that may be extended to other Group countries.
UniCredit confirms its ongoing commitment to investing in the commercial network through the assignment of 950 resources, comprising recruitment of apprentices and the professional retraining of 200 colleagues from central structures.
The focus on the well-being of colleagues is also confirmed through the strengthening of the welfare offer, expanding the number of beneficiaries of the 'time bank' institution, renewing insurance coverage and granting an additional 2 days of smart learning for network colleagues.
"This result - commented Ilaria Dalla Riva, UniCredit's People & Culture Italy Head - confirms that the continuous and constructive dialogue with the trade unions over the last three years has contributed to the positive outcome of the agreement, which is based on our culture and values and on caring for people, guaranteeing generational turnover and supporting the growth of the skills of colleagues in line with the evolution of the sector and the bank's strategy".
