Boosting Transition was the  title of the 2023 edition of the Venice Sustainabe Fashion Forum, organised by Ambrosetti, which saw UniCredit as one of the Diamond Partners.

The urgency of identifying effective actions to reduce the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry clearly emerged during the event, especially from the attending institutions, with a plea to promote a cohesive approach, also through a homogeneous regulatory system.

The results of the study Just Fashion Transition 2023, carried out by The European House - Ambrosetti, were presented during the first day of the Forum.

The study collected data from over 2800 Italian and European fashion and textile companies and suggested a list of 8 proposals for a just transition of global fashion, which were placed at the centre of the Forum debate.

The second day saw some companies present solutions that they are already implementing as well as the role of finance in accelerating sustainable supply chain processes. In this context, Remo Taricani, Deputy Head of Italy at UniCredit, in confirming the bank's commitment to ESG issues towards all corporate clients, commented:

"Regulation has played a key role in triggering transition processes towards sustainability. As a bank, we want to accompany entrepreneurs in this transformation, which certainly involves major investments in terms of redefining business models, reporting and training professionals, but at the same time generates new opportunities for growth. To our companies, of all sizes, we offer a service model and dedicated specialists to support them with specific solutions, thanks also to the best practices that we intercept in the 13 European countries where we operate"
