Beyond the clichés: culture belongs to each and everyone.

When creativity embraces territories, it overcomes barriers. From the Officine San Carlo in Naples to the Filarmonica della Scala in Milan and the City of Art of the Pistoletto Foundation in Biella, we tell the stories of three projects focused on social regeneration and inclusion, which UniCredit supports and fosters.
Creativity, passion and the ability to grasp the infinite connections of the world around us: culture is the engine for social, economic and sustainable development for our communities and territories.
This is the message that cultural venues convey to an ever-wider audience, knowing that social actors, such as banks – and in particular UniCredit – can play a key role in supporting culture in all its forms.
It happens in Milan, with the Open Rehearsals of the Filarmonica della Scala, supported by UniCredit as its Main Partner. It also happens at the Officine San Carlo in Naples, where an urban and social regeneration project, supported by UniCredit through the art bonus, has come to life on the premises of a former factory.
And in Biella: where the Unidee Residence Programs integrate into the social fabric of the city, with a school that explores how creative action is a collective effort, resulting in a universal work of art.
UniCredit sees art and culture as true engines of social development and well-being for communities.
Officine San Carlo
Art and culture teach us that everything can be transformed and changed. In Naples, the Officine San Carlo, a social project for the urban regeneration of the Teatro di San Carlo, is today a symbol of cultural and social rebirth of the suburbs and a source of growth for young people. Here, a former factory has been transformed into a hub for training and social inclusion projects, which UniCredit supports through the art bonus.
Filarmonica della Scala
The Filarmonica della Scala in Milan breaks the cliché that culture is a heritage for the few. Through Open Reharsals, great music engages the entire city. This extraordinary project - which the UniCredit Foundation has been proud to support since 2010 - offers everyone the opportunity to attend concert rehearsals at a low price and support non-profit organizations operating in the Milan area.
Fondazione Pistoletto
Learn art and get involved. Those who live in the once-abandoned spaces of Biella, today are rewriting one of the most enduring clichés about culture. Here, the Fondazione Pistoletto – Cittadellarte, together with the Unidee Residence Programs, have transformed creative action into a universal social message: art as a catalyst for knowledge, growth and development. UniCredit believes in this vision so strongly that it is bringing an ever-wider audience closer to art, thanks to its UniCredit Art Collection.
