UniCredit has appointed Jörg Pietzner to be the new Head of Investor Relations. He will take up the position during the first quarter of 2018 and will report to Mirko Bianchi, Chief Financial Officer.
Jörg is currently based in Munich at UniCredit Bank AG (HVB) where he heads the credit underwriting department for Corporate & Investment Banking since 2014. Prior to this, he held a number of senior positions at HVB including Head of Corporate Strategy & Communication as well as Branch Manager for the Vienna Branch (Markets). He joined UniCredit in 2009 from Goldman Sachs Investment Banking in London where he spent eight years, most recently as an Executive Director in the Financial Institutions Group. He studied in Berlin and Princeton and holds degrees in mathematics and physics.
As of 1 September he will transfer to UniCredit's headquarters in Milan and will work with Piero Munari, current Head of Investor Relations, and the rest of the IR team during a transition period before assuming his new role. During the handover period, all contacts for investors and analysts remain the same and the whole IR team remain fully committed to servicing the capital markets community in the best possible way.
