UniCredit Named Global Bank of the Year 2024 for the Second Year in a Row
Thursday 05 December 2024
We have been awarded the prestigious title of Global Bank of the Year 2024 by FT's The Banker, marking our second consecutive year of this honor. In addition to being recognised as Bank of the Year in Europe and Italy, we also received accolades as Bank of the Year in Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina.
On December 4, 2024, at The Banker’s annual ceremony in London, our achievements were highlighted, showcasing our global leadership in the banking sector. The Banker’s Bank of the Year Awards are widely regarded as the benchmark for banking excellence, assessing institutions based on their financial performance, strategic advantages, and service to their communities.
Our CEO, Andrea Orcel, expressed pride in these accomplishments, saying,
"We are proud of these achievements, acknowledging, for the second year, the success of UniCredit Unlocked which moved the bank from laggard to winner within a three-year period, setting a new benchmark for banking in Europe".
Silvia Pavoni, editor in chief of The Banker, commented on our bank's recognition:
"The Banker rarely awards the same lender two years in a row, but UniCredit’s sustained performance and growing ambition were just too compelling to overlook. Its impressive financial results, along with strategic partnerships and investments throughout Europe, contributed to this decision."
Over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to a cultural and industrial transformation, striving to redefine our future and position ourselves as the bank for Europe’s future.
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to delivering for our clients and our communities.
