Celebrating Diversity: UniCredit nominated one of Europe’s Diversity Leaders 2025
Wednesday 30 October 2024
UniCredit has been recognised as one of “Europe’s Diversity Leaders 2025” by the Financial Times for the fourth consecutive year.
UniCredit's commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace has once again been acknowledged by the Financial Times, placing us among the top 40 out of 850 European companies and at the very top in Italy. This recognition highlights our increasing efforts to embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) principles across all levels of our organisation. This year, our position improved by over 150 places at the European level compared to last year, and for the first time, we reached the top spot in Italy.
“We are honoured that UniCredit has once again been recognised among Europe's Leaders for Diversity, with a notable improvement in our position. This reaffirms our commitment to building a positive, diverse, and inclusive workplace. Over recent years, we have strengthened our DE&I governance and Culture to empower our people to be themselves and unlock their full potential.”
said Siobhán McDonagh, Head of Group People & Culture at UniCredit.
Our DE&I framework, built on four key pillars - People, Culture, Innovative Solutions, and Clients & Communities - guides our initiatives to promote gender equality, close the gender pay gap, empower diversity of thought, and enhance work-life quality and well-being for all our people while striving to provide best-in-class client solutions.

The Financial Times, in collaboration with the independent market research company Statista, conducts extensive surveys among more than 100,000 employees across Europe. The methodology involves secondary analysis of other diversity-focused criteria to identify employers demonstrating considerable leadership in Diversity & Inclusion. This rigorous process ensures that the ranking reflects the opinions and experiences of employees, making it a credible and respected recognition.
