Our new series takes a closer look at the work and home life of employees across all of the bank’s regions and functions
First up, we spoke to Costanza Ramorino who, as well as working at UniCredit, is a proud wife and mother of three wonderful kids.
Costanza trained as a lawyer, but always wanted to work in HR. After roles at several multinational companies, she joined UniCredit in 2003. After moving around HR positions in CEE and Austria now she is Global HR Business Partner at Group level, focused on Governance Functions.
WORK LIFE
Can you describe your ideal workday?
A day where people that meet me leave with meaningful insights on why the Human Capital function is here for them. I like creating a framework that leads everyone to perform better and, in turn, be able to quickly respond to people’s needs, enhancing the talents that everyone brings to the office every single day.
What do you eat at lunchtime normally?
Lunch for me is normally simple: vegetables and meat or fish. Most of the time I cook something in the morning and bring it to work with me!
Can you share a funny moment you’ve experienced at work?
In 2005, I was at dinner with my manager, when a colleague came over to our table and asked him if I was his new assistant. Funnily enough, that day I was nominated as the new HR Director taking care of the integration of the three banks there!
PRIVATE LIFE
Are you a morning or evening person?
I’m an energetic person that is rejuvenated by an early wake up – my alarm clock is always set at 6:15.
What is your morning ritual before going to work?
I pray and I exercise every morning: fitness walking, HIIT training or yoga. I’m very disciplined and dedicate 45 minutes to it. Often I have a friend or a digital coach exercising with me!
Favourite time of the day?
That is definitely the evening with my family at the dinner table, talking with my husband and listening to my kids (Davide,23 – Federico, 19 – Ludovica, 10)… with my dog underneath the table.
Do you have a hobby?
I like cooking and painting very much.
