The first learning business game developed by UniCredit for its employees has won the first prize at the Efma-Accenture Banking Innovation Awards 2021 in the Future Workforce category. Further proof that people are the driving force behind digital transformation.

U-City is a digital concept based on gamification, aimed at UniCredit employees. The aim of the game is to transform an imaginary city into a futuristic metropolis where respect for the environment and the adoption of new technologies are key to winning the game. This is how UniCredit employees learned to achieve important business results while having fun.

The U-City project is proof that digital transformation in the banking sector is the result of different levels of teamwork so to achieve business results and create a permanent impact: marketing, sales, communication and training. Projects like U-City really contribute to creating a learning culture in which our people are involved, motivated while increasing their skills.

 

It is on the basis of this element that U-City recently reached success at the Efma-Accenture Banking Innovation Awards, which provide a platform for presenting innovative projects in the banking sector.
