Following Bank of Italy methodological review of O-SII's capital buffers, UniCredit remains well above all capital requirements

 

Following the communication received from The Bank of Italy in relation to its methodological review of Italian banking groups, UniCredit's O-SII (other systemically important institutions) capital buffer is 1.50 per cent from 1 January 2024.

 

There is no impact on UniCredit's 2023 or future shareholder distribution ambitions, funding plan or capital targets.

 

As of 30 September 2023, UniCredit's capital ratios on a consolidated basis stood at:

 

•         17.19 per cent CET 1 ratio, fully loaded

•         17.50 per cent CET 1 ratio, transitional

•         19.17 per cent Tier 1 ratio, transitional

•         22.24 per cent Total Capital ratio, transitional
