Group Recognized for its Communication on Sustainable Banking Activities
UniCredit has been awarded a corporate responsibility prize by the Italian Association of Financial Innovation (AIFIn) for its efforts to communicate its sustainable banking activities.
The prize, entitled the Bank and Territory Award for CSR Communication and Sustainability Report, was announced by AIFIn yesterday in Milan during the independent think tank's meeting for Italian banks on strategies for competition, innovations and CSR. The event was sponsored by ACRI, ANCI, the Ministry of the Economic Development and the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy.
The award panel cited UniCredit's effective communication of its sustainable practices and objectives, specifically noting the bank's Sustainability Report. The panel considered the transparency, content clarity and comprehensive detail of information released in a structured manner through different communication channels, in addition to the degree to which UniCredit's daily activities answer the requests of its stakeholders.
The eighth annual prize recognizes the social, economic and cultural efforts by an Italian bank to encourage local communities and support their development. This year, 18 banks participated in the AIFIn meeting, presenting 50 projects.
AIFIn's annual awards are intended to promote CSR in the banking sector by bringing attention to bank and banking foundation initiatives that create value for their stakeholders and communities.
