Discovering our Art Collection: Sissi
Tuesday 16 July 2024
The UniCredit Art Collection is a living and growing resource with treasures that reflect our Group's pan-European identity. One of the artists present in our collection is Sissi, a versatile and innovative artist.
The UniCredit Art Collection is one of the largest corporate collections in Europe, comprising tens of thousands of different assets, from ancient archaeological finds to classical and contemporary works of art. Our Collection is the result of the artistic choices and passion for art that has always characterised UniCredit.
We have paid special attention to promoting young and emerging artists from the countries where our Group is present, increasing the presence of contemporary works of art in the Collection.
We want to make art accessible to an ever wider public, so we asked some artists to tell us and explain what art is? What does it represent for them?
Born in Bologna in 1977, Sissi lives and works in Bologna.
She follows a creative process in which the starting point has always been the body.
She investigates the subjectivity and the social and emotional construction of the body, in an emotional anatomy that sees constant experimentation on different artistic levels, such as performance, sculpture, drawing and photography.
In addition to her work as an artist, she teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
"Contemporary art Is a cosmic weave of Interdisciplinarity, and I fully embraced It, because I always loved to go through different shapes and materials, transpoted by shades of matter"
- Sissi
