Meet Edoardo Policano, Financial Institutions Group (FIG) & International Network Business Development & Management
Since university, I have dedicated a significant amount of time to studying foreign languages and traveling, as I have always felt drawn to fast-paced, international environments. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to join UniCredit’s Business Development and Management Team for the International Network, working closely with branches located across the world’s main financial hubs such as New York, London, Singapore, Paris, Madrid.
This role means I don’t have a “typical workday” as clients and topics to tackle are very diverse. My job requires me to respond quickly and effectively to constantly evolving needs and fast-changing scenarios.
I often recall on Mahatma Gandhi’s famous words:
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world”, as it is my job to support and empower my colleagues in the Network to serve our clients at their best. This quote is very powerful not only because it encourages us to make a positive change, but also because of its underlying message that even if we can’t achieve everything, our contribution can be crucial in making the environment in which we live and work a better place. I see these principles vastly embraced by UniCredit’s culture.
I am passionate about many things
but my favourite hobbies would have to be:
• Running, as it makes me feel energised and recharged. Also, it’s a great way to make new friends as there are many running enthusiasts. For example, I am part of the UniCredit's running team in Milan.
• Food & Wine, apparently in contrast with the previous hobby. I love to cook, and I am a professionally qualified sommelier.
Three words to describe my personality:
enthusiastic, curious, problem solver.
Three words to describe my job:
diverse, international, need for resilience.
Meet Martina Capocasale, Wealth Advisor and Investment Consultant, Italy
My name is Martina Capocasale. I am a 33-year-old Wealth Advisor and Investment Consultant based at a UniCredit branch in Rome.
Since joining UniCredit in 2017, I have already had the opportunity to support our clients in various roles, from Personal Consultant to Remote Advisor. Now as Wealth Advisor and Investment Consultant, helping customers choose the best investment and protection products to safeguard themselves, their families, and their assets.
I work with a diverse clientele, and I strive to tailor the best investment solutions by keeping in mind their plans for their loved ones’ and their own future. It’s a challenging but rewarding role, because – even though it’s not always easy to meet the many needs of my clients – it enables me to continuously learn new things and grow.
And this is also one of the reasons I have chosen UniCredit
Because it’s a dynamic and empowering environment. Working in a big company means we have opportunity to try out different roles and develop multiple skills. Moreover, I personally found a reality in which meritocracy is recognised at UniCredit, without gender distinctions. For example, last year’s achievements earned me a training course in London, which I found to be a really unique experience.
In my leisure time
I enjoy practicing calisthenics. It is all about being in total control of your body, but also being able to push yourself to new mental limits. True strength is taking a stand for something you believe in, and staying true to yourself in a world that is always seeking to challenge you.
Three words to describe my personality:
empathy, commitment, creativity.
Three words to describe my job:
consulting, team effort, people support.
