Today at UniCredit, we mark International Women’s Day 2024 celebrating some of the amazing female talents across our Group and countries – our Female Changemakers! And, given the 2024 theme #InspireInclusion, we talk about what inclusion means to us and how we can encourage it every day.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) are core to our Values and Culture at UniCredit, as we constantly work to ensure a positive and inclusive work environment for all our people so that we all feel empowered to unlock our fullest potential every day!
Today we mark International Women’s Day 2024, recognising our continued progress towards gender equality and the important contributions of our colleagues, female talents, and communities across our markets. As further testament of this, last week UniCredit was included in the 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 from Equileap for the third year in a row, rising to #18 in the Financial Sector worldwide and maintaining its #2 ranking in Italy as the only bank in the country’s top 100.
We take this opportunity to also celebrate some of the amazing female talents across our Group – our Female Changemakers! And, in line with the 2024 official International Women’s Day theme #InspireInclusion, we talk about what inclusion means to each of us and how we can inspire inclusion through our concrete actions, supporting and empowering everyone we work with and beyond.

Highlight on local activities
Our DE&I principles are fulfilled every day across all our markets and we mark today with many different local activities involving our people, clients and communities.
Examples of dedicated initiatives for our clients and communities include targeted customer communications and events engaging the wider business and entrepreneurial community, with a special focus on women in Hungary, Italy, Russia, Serbia and Slovenia.
Meanwhile, for our people we will offer a range of inspirational lectures, panel discussions, workshops and symbolic give-aways for colleagues organised in Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic & Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Romania and Serbia.
Furthermore, today our Tower spire in Milan will light up in purple in support of this important day, spreading awareness and showcasing our commitment to championing an inclusive culture.
