UniCredit’s second annual ESG Day brought colleagues from across Europe together. How do we, as a pan-European bank, confront the world’s greatest challenges?
In Episode 4 of our latest series of Conversations Unlocked, co-hosts Matt Thomas and Nikolina Zečić go behind the scenes on UniCredit’s second annual ESG Day, which took place on Thursday 14th November.
A truly pan-European event, the bank’s second ESG Day brought colleagues together to confront the greatest challenges facing our world today, with expert panellists sharing their insights in Milan and local events taking place across many of UniCredit’s markets.
The challenges – environmental and social trade-offs, achieving sustainable growth, helping our clients navigate the ESG transition – are complex. But facing them together as One UniCredit, as we did on ESG Day, we can find a way forward to support our clients and unlock a better tomorrow for Europe – and the world.

Matt asked Fiona about everything that went into making the event a success, and what each of us at UniCredit can do to support our clients and communities in the ESG transition:
“There is so much work to be done on partnering with the clients in the journey … it’s very much their transition, but with us helping them and supporting them,” says Fiona.
